We teach you how to handle a 4x4 vehicle safely and confidently across sand and dunes. Under professional guidance, participants learn the fundamentals of vehicle control, as well as the essential driving techniques required to tackle challenging terrain. Experienced off-road drivers benefit from individually tailored training adapted to their existing skills, experience, and personal goals.
The course is open to anyone aged 18 or over who holds a valid driving licence, enjoys driving, seeks adventure, and is eager to learn something new. No previous off-road driving experience is required.

Whether you are looking to gain your first experience in off-road and sand driving or already have extensive off-road experience, it makes no difference to us. What matters is an open mind, a willingness to learn, and the enthusiasm to embrace new challenges.
No previous off-road or dune driving experience is required. Under professional guidance, you will learn the fundamentals of driving on sand, how to safely and confidently handle your vehicle, and the essential techniques required for driving in the dunes.
For advanced and experienced off-road drivers, we tailor the training programme to your individual skill level, experience, and personal goals. This creates a challenging yet highly rewarding learning experience, regardless of your previous level of experience.
Driving through the Rub’ al Khali, the legendary “Empty Quarter” in southern Oman, is far more than just another desert tour. You will explore one of the world’s most spectacular and technically demanding landscapes while learning how to safely master your vehicle under exceptional conditions — from challenging dunes and desert terrain to the unique climatic conditions of the region.
All courses are led by local instructors and personally accompanied by George and/or Manuel.
The course language is English. If required, our team will be happy to provide support in German, French, and Spanish, ensuring that you feel comfortable, confident, and well supported throughout the entire course.
Two participants take part in the training per vehicle. Number of participants: min. 6 (three vehicles), max. 12 (six vehicles).
In consideration of local conditions and applicable laws, and in the interest of the safety of all participants, the consumption of alcohol and other intoxicating substances is strictly prohibited throughout the entire course week. The only exception on alcohol is the group farewell evening at the “Al Khareef Pub” at the Crowne Plaza Salalah.

Drive to Khadhaf, driving course stage 1, overnight stay at Arabian Sand Camp
Day 3, Tuesday
Offroad drive via Ubar to Empty Quarter Eco Lodge, driving course stage 2, overnight stay at Empty Quarter Eco Lodge
Day 4, Wednesday
Day trip to Hashman, driving course stage 3, overnight stay at Empty Quarter Eco Lodge
Day 5, Thursday
Offroad drive to Ramlad Jedilah (highest dune in the world, 450m) driving course stage 4, overnight stay camping on dune
Day 6, Friday
Drive to Salalah, final briefing and farewell, overnight stay at Crown Plaza
Day 7, Saturday
Airport Transfer, Individual departure from Salalah
